A favorite pastime while in Lagos was visiting Bar Beach. Swimming with children in the surf,
just taking it easy (Dave Danielson under the beach umbrella), building sandcastles (which always drew large crowds), or just playing with the children on the beach (here, celebrating New Years Day) was an enjoyable prelude to beginning our teaching duties.
A final day here at Bar Beach,where I made use of some of my Peace Corps CPR training,resulted in some notoriety for me, including an article in The New York Post.
